Hand pinched egg cup with hand painted glaze design.
Raku firing is an ancient Japanese ceramics technique where glazed ceramics are taken from the kiln while they are still glowing red hot and are then placed in a combustible material, such as sawdust or newspaper. This technique is used to starve the piece of oxygen, which creates a variety of colors within the glaze.
Due to the nature of the firing each piece is one of a kind.
NOT intended for direct contact with food or drink, please only use as intended.
For the longevity of the piece it is recommended to hand wash with care.
