Pit Fired Vase 002

Wheel thrown stoneware vase with atmospheric pit fired markings. This piece is not glazed, but has been treated with waterproofing solution. Design marks are achieved from combusting organic materials in a pit, and allowing the clay to absorb the carbon and minerals from the fire. This piece was wrapped with copper wire and fruit skins, and is one of a kind.

Wipe clean or hand wash with care.
